Known Issues

This section provides a list of the currently known issues that customers may experience with Quick Connect for Base Systems 1.0.0 . For each issue, the list includes an ID number, which identifies the issue, a brief description of the problem, and a workaround, if any exists, for the problem.

TF00048527
The provisioning, deprovisioning and update operations from ActiveRoles Server to the delimited text file connected systems are not supported.

WORKAROUND
For information on how to work around this problem, contact Quest Support.

TF00048530
When using the Add Connected System wizard to create a connection to Sun One Directory Server (formerly IPlanet Directory Server), on the "Specify connection settings for LDAP directory service" page, you may encounter this error: "The specified LDAP Directory service cannot be contacted. Details: One or more arguments are invalid."

WORKAROUND
To resolve this issue, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Add Connected System wizard, on the "Specify connection settings for LDAP directory service page", click Advanced Options.
  2. In the "Advanced" dialog box, clear the "Force ADSI to use secure authentication" check box and then click OK.
  3. Click Next to proceed with the wizard.

TF00048118
When deprovisioning objects, you may encounter the following issue: the synchronization operation fails with the "The source entry is not available" error.

WORKAROUND
To resolve this issue, when configuring the deprovisioning rules for source objects that are out of synchronization scope avoid using the source object attributes values in the Attribute update rules, Move target object rule, and Rename target object rule. These rules can be configured on the "Configure the deprovisioning rules" page of the Add Synchronization Step wizard.

TF00054461
When provisioning objects from ActiveRoles Server to a connected data system using a Generic LDAP connector, you may encounter the error message "The directory property cannot be found in the cache." This problem occurs if values of UniqueID attributes defined for the connected data system are not set.

WORKAROUND
To resolve this issue, configure Attribute Populations rules for UniqueID attributes.
To configure Attribute Populations rules, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Quick Connect console, open the "Workflows" tab, and then open the tab for workflow that contains a link to the provisioning synchronization step where the problem  occurred.
  2. Double-click that synchronization step. The "Provisioning Step Settings" dialog box opens.
  3. In the" Provisioning Step Settings" dialog box, open the "Provisioning Rules" tab, expand "Configure Initial Attributes Population Rules", and then use the "Attributes| Rule| Script| Text" split button to configure Initial Attributes Populations Rules for UniqueID attributes.
  4. When finished, click OK to close the "Provisioning Step Settings" dialog box.
  5. Restart the provisioning step again.

TF00056121
Incorrect behavior of the application when synchronizing group memberships for connected data systems using Generic LDAP connector: when performing a synchronization operation, Quick Connect Sync Engine may return an error message that depends on the particular connected system. The synchronization operation fails for some of groups to synchronize.

WORKAROUND
To resolve this issue, complete the following steps:

  1. Ensure that mapping rules are configured for all classes of objects that are members of groups to synchronize. To configure mapping rules, use the "Mapping" tab in Quick Connect console.
  2.  Ensure that Naming attributes are defined for all classes of objects that are members of groups to synchronize. To define Naming attributes, use the "Connection Information" tab in the "Connection Properties" dialog box for the connected system where the problem occurred.

TF00056612
Synchronization with OLE DB and ODBS data systems is not supported.

WORKAROUND
To synchronize with OLE DB and ODBS data systems, use the Scheduled Import Wizard 3.5.

TF00056614
Synchronization with Oracle database is not supported.

WORKAROUND
To synchronize with Oracle database, use the Scheduled Import Wizard 3.5.

TF00056617
There is no a connector to Sun One Directory Server (formerly IPlanet Directory Server).

WORKAROUND
To resolve this issue, configure the LDAP Generic connector instead.
